Over the past several years graffiti vandalism has exploded across the internet, costing the industry millions of dollars. Many individual internet users and community-based groups are working to stop the vandals and repair the damage they are causing.

In order to investigate online graffiti vandalism, the Less Rain Police Department has put together a special task force: the Vandal Squad. Information collected by the Vandal Squad on various crime scenes is published on this website in section 2, GRAFFITI ARCHIVE'.
 

GRAFFITI IS NOT ART!

Graffiti is a complex social problem. Most graffiti vandalism is being perpetrated by minors, mainly during the early morning hours. Some graffiti is the product of gang activity, and is used to identify territories, indicate associations or conflicts between gang members, or promote the sale of pirate software. Section 4,'VANDALISM ARCHIVE' shows up-to-date examples of internet vandalism, committed by juvenile vandals addicted to online spraying and tagging.
 

ILLEGAL SPRAY PAINTING SOFTWARE ON THE RISE

Vandals claim that they have no problem downloading spray painting applications. For demonstration purposes only, the LRPD has decided to offer such an application, so that the general public can witness by themselves the damage that can be caused by its use.
